Q & A with ALEIA
Q: How did you feel you heard you were paired with Jason?

A: When I learned that I was being partnered with Jason Harvey I was extremely excited. That fact that someone of his caliber was willing to take time out to mentor and guide me was a great feeling. I was happy to get the opportunity to share my story with Jason.

Q: What makes ALSO US different from other mentorship programs?

A: I wanted to share my story through ALSO US because I’ve come across different mentorship programs in the past, but because this one was specifically for those who had been affected by ALS, I knew this was for me. My mission since I started back writing scripts in 2015 was to get my families story and bring awareness to ALS.

It has been great sharing my experience through the ALSO US program. They were extremely understanding and genuinely wanted to help me. It felt good to be a part of a program that actually knew what ALS was and how it affects families.

Q: What would you say to another young adult impacted by someone with ALS?

A: Document anything you can to keep those memories alive. Whether it be footage, or photos, or writing in a journal. You will be grateful that you did, one day in the future.

Q: How has ALSO US helped you tell your story?

A: ALSO US has given me a lot of hope when it comes to sharing my families story with the world. Because of ALSO US I feel a sense of hope with being able to convey such a difficult story. They have truly helped me in regards to providing tools and making connections to help move me forward in my screenwriting journey.
